Martin Mystery rated #1 on YTV
After two months of bi-weekly airings on YTV, Martin Mystery is now the #1 rated domestic series on Canadian TV, beat out only by a few American series such as Fairly Odd Parents and Sponge Bob, broadcast in typically high ratings slots.
Martin Mystery well received at MIPCOM
Martin Mystery enjoyed celebrity status at MIPCOM 2003: the series had its own promotional tote bag that was distributed to MIPCOM Junior attendees and had a high number of screenings during the market. A press conference and cocktail party at the Majestic also heralded the series' premiere on Canal J.
International buyers were enthusiastic about the show's first episodes, and several territories are showing strong interest in the series. Martin Mystery has already been sold to Canada, Germany, South Africa, Denmark, Yugoslavia, Brazil, Singapore, China, Israel, Latin America (Nickelodeon Latin America) and in most European countries (Fox Kids Europe), and is currently being negotiated in Australia, Slovakia, Hong Kong, Spain and the Philippines.
Martin Mystery premieres in France on Canal J
With Canal J sneak-previewing two episodes on October 1st, "Martin Mystery" with its spooky creatures and otherworldly settings will be must-see TV during this year's Halloween season, airing at 11:15am everyday between October 23rd and November 2nd, 2003. On Halloween day, October 31st, fans of chills, comedy and unidentified ooze-y creatures will be treated to two consecutive episodes at 5:55pm.
Starting on November 5th, 2003, "Martin Mystery" will air three times weekly: Wednesdays at 10:45am, Saturdays at 5:25pm and Sundays at 8:30pm.
